- FAQs
-
- Can I stop using Lamisil® AT Gel as soon as my symptoms disappear?

-
Apply it as soon as you remember and continue treatment as directed. Do not apply twice the amount of gel.
- Are there any side effects I should expect?
-
Most people don't experience any side effects. Rarely, someone might be allergic to an active ingredient. In case you experience allergic reaction, wash with plenty of water or use surgical spirit to remove the gel from your feet. Then wash and dry them and contact your doctor. If you think the product is irritating or drying out your skin, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

- I only have symptoms on one foot, so why should I treat both feet?
-
In 80% of all cases of athlete's foot both feet are infected - even if you don't have symptoms on both. To make sure your athlete's foot is thoroughly treated and to prevent re-infection, use Lamisil® AT Gel as directed.
- Only the area between my toes is infected. Why do I still have to apply the gel all over my feet?
-
Even if you can't see it, it's likely the infection has spread to other parts of your feet. To make sure the fungus is completely treated and to prevent reinfection, apply Lamisil® AT Gel as directed.
- Is it safe for me to use Lamisil® AT Gel if I'm pregnant or breast-feeding?
-
Consult your doctor if you have athlete's foot while breast-feeding or pregnant. Breast-feeding mothers should not use Lamisil® AT Gel.
- What else can I do during treatment for athlete's foot?
-
Wash your feet daily and dry them well afterwards. You should also change your towel, washcloth and socks every day during treatment. And finally, resist scratching the infected area. This can cause the fungus to land on other surfaces, which could lead to re-infection.
